Robert E. Schott Sr.

Robert E. Schott Sr., 80, Celina, died at 11:15 a.m. Aug. 9, 2010, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.

He was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Celina to William E. and Minnie R. Gilbert Schott. On July 20, 1950, he married Mary Lou Blatteau, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Daniel (Lynda) Schott, Van Wert, Robert (Karen) Schott Jr., Celina, and Jeffery (Lisa) Schott, Celina; three daughters, Nancy (Lanny) Hammitt, Michie, Tenn., Sue Osterholt, Celina, and Robbie (Roy) Murphy, Mendon; a sister, Theona Hilleary, Celina; two sisters-in-law, Rosa Schott, Coldwater, and Shirley Mowery, Florida; 28 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are two sons, Billy Schott and Joseph Schott; a brother, Ray Schott; three half brothers, John Mowery, Charles Mowery and Dominck Mowery; and a sister, Mary Mowery.

He retired from the former Mersman plant in Celina. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. He also was a member of the Celina Men's Bowling Assosication.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial is at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
