Dana E. Rager, 35, St. Marys, died Aug. 9, 2010, at his home.

He was born April 1, 1975, in Van Wert to Dana R. and Betty Jo Bowers Rager. His mother survives in Mendon; his father is deceased. On April 21, 1999, he married Amanda K. Burd, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mallory Rager and Taylor Rager, both of St. Marys; a brother, Robert Rager, St. Marys; two sisters, Hope Rager, Ohio City, and Nicole (Brad) Wannamacher, Hilliard; a maternal grandmother, Juanita Druckemiller, Van Wert; father-in-law, John (Pam) Burd, St. Marys; mother-in-law, Kaye Burd, St. Marys; a brother-in-law, John Burd, Spencerville; and a sister-in-law, Kiley Burd, St. Marys.

Deceased is an infant sister, Anita Rager; and grandparents, Ervin and Dortha Rager and Lenny Bowers.

He was a 1994 graduate of Memorial High School in St. Marys. He worked for Homan and Stucke Construction Company in New Bremen. He attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys.

Funeral rites are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys, the Rev. Ed Bray officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
