Fahien Sheffer
Fahien Allen Joey Sheffer, 90, Fort Recovery, died at 2:15 p.m. Aug. 2, 2010, at the Gardens of St. Henry.
He was born Sept. 1, 1919, in Jay County, Ind., to Homer Isaiah and Rita Deo Gratia Nelson Sheffer. On Aug. 17, 1957, he married Katherine Breymaier, who survives in Fort Recovery.
Also surviving are two sons, Tim (Amanda) Sheffer, Parker City, Ind., and Michael Sheffer, Portland, Ind.; two daughters, Jennifer (Dave) Williams, Milford, Mich., and Mary (Bill) Crane, Warsaw, Ind.; a sister, Anita (Greg) Spivey, Portland, Ind.; and four grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Lawrence Sheffer and Ivan Sheffer, and two sisters, Pauline Houser and Ursal Stroble.
He graduated from Madison High School in Jay County, Ind. He worked as a farmer and a mechanic. He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Recovery.
A memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Charles Boomhower officiating. He was buried Aug. 3, 2010, at Spring Hill Cemetery in Fort Recovery.
