Areas of fog, including some patchy dense fog will linger into the early afternoon hours before some improvement is expected. Numerous observation sites continue to show visibilities of one mile or less.
When encountering fog, be sure to turn on low beam headlights, slow down, and increase following distance.

Arlene M. Franck
Arlene M. Franck, 53, 419 N. Holly Lane, Rockford, died Sept. 15, 2010, at her residence. Death was from natural causes.
She was born Dec. 1, 1956, in Union City, Ind., to Bernard J. and Alvina Esser Heitkamp, who are both deceased. On Jan. 29, 1982, she married Jack L. Franck, who survives in Celina.
Other survivors are three stepchildren, Eric Franck, Coldwater, Tina (Jamie) Heiser, Fort Recovery, and Shawn Franck, Celina; three sisters, Marie (Carl) Glassford, Freemont, Ind., Wilma Stoner, Portland, Ind., and Marilyn (Tony) Wray, Union City, Ind.; and seven stepgrandchildren.
Deceased are five brothers, Jerry, Eugene, Bernard Jr., Kenny and Donald Heitkamp; and three sisters, Shirley McClain, Betty Guthrie and Marceil Abels.
She worked as a nurses aid and was a member of the American Humane Society and the Animal Protection League of Mercer County. She attended St. Teresa Catholic Church, Rockford.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, the Rev. John Parker officiating.
