Periods of light snow will occur this evening and through the overnight. While accumulating snow is expected to end before Thursday morning, falling temperatures and light snow accumulations of one to two inches will result in slick travel tonight and early Thursday.
Slick spots can be expected on roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. If traveling, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for wintery driving conditions.
In addition to the snowfall, falling temperatures combined with increased winds will result in feels-like temperatures near zero Thursday morning. If heading outdoors, dress in multiple layers.

Mary Kanney

Mary Ann Kanney, 82, Coldwater, died Oct. 16, 2010, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.

She was born April 25, 1928, in Coldwater, to Aloysius and Alvina R. Braun Kanney Sr.

Surviving are a sister, Betty Weitzel, Coldwater; two brothers, Al (Della) Kanney Jr., Coldwater, and Vince (Marilyn) Kanney, Coldwater; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Kanney, St. Henry.

Deceased is a sister, Margie Kanney; a brother, Robert Kanney; a brother-in-law, Richard Weitzel.

She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater.

Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coldwater.

Calling is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.

Memorials may be made to the Briarwood Activity Fund.
