Periods of light snow will occur this evening and through the overnight. While accumulating snow is expected to end before Thursday morning, falling temperatures and light snow accumulations of one to two inches will result in slick travel tonight and early Thursday.
Slick spots can be expected on roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. If traveling, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for wintery driving conditions.
In addition to the snowfall, falling temperatures combined with increased winds will result in feels-like temperatures near zero Thursday morning. If heading outdoors, dress in multiple layers.

A band of snow showers will drop into the region from northern Indiana, and push through the region through the afternoon. Some snow showers could produce a quick light coating of snow on elevated surfaces and bridges. Visibility may also be briefly reduced to a half mile or even less. Northwest winds will also gust up to 30 MPH.
Lighter snowfall will continue into the evening behind the initial band of snow showers, with accumulations from a few tenths to isolated accumulations of up to an inch.
Motorists should exercise caution and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.

Joseph Lersky
Joseph Lersky, 77, Celina, died at 11:45 a.m. Oct. 16, 2010, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton.
He was born May 11, 1933, in Bronx, N.Y., to David and Jean Weiss Lersky. On Jan. 31, 2003, he married Barbara Wollam, who survives.
Also surviving is a sister, Marilyn (Ivan) Haskell, Manhattan, N.Y.; nine step-grandchildren and two godchildren.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Jane Larkin and Bertille Gleich.
He worked at The Daily Standard, where he was managing editor for 30 years and a sports editor. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a graduate of City College in New York.
Memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
Calling is noon-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
