Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

William Barlage
Fort Loramie native William B. Barlage, 71, Dayton, died Nov. 29, 2010, at his home.
He was born Sept. 14, 1939, in Fort Loramie to Julius and Marie Middendorf Barlage. On Oct. 24, 1959, he married Margery Schwartz, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Elaine (Jeffrey) McCormick, Washington Courthouse, Susan (Logan) Jones, Cincinnati, and Greg (Rosemary) Barlage, Springfield; two siblings, Robert (Beatrice) Barlage, Russia, and Peggy (Roger) Heitkamp, Fort Loramie; two in-laws, Richard Wehrman, Fort Loramie, and Doris Barlage, Dayton; and eight grandchildren.
Deceased are four siblings, Delores Wehrman and Paul, Tom and Ted Barlage.
He was a member of the Church of Ascension in Kettering, the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America, Antique Automobile Club, Minster Fraternal Order of Eagles 1391, Newport Sportsman's Club and Walk-Up Country Club. He was owner and operator of M&B Service.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Fort Loramie, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.
