Former Rockford resident Stephen "Mike" Michael Green, 60, Celina, died at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 14, 2010, at his home.
He was born April 12, 1950, in Union City, Ind. to Harold L. and Rosemary Hayse Green.
Surviving is his fiancee, Nancy Patton, Celina; four sons, Stephen D. Green, Celina, Joe Hines, Van Wert, Joseph Green, Toledo, and Anthony T. (Audrey) Green, Maumee; a daughter, Robin L. (Michael) Lockhart, of Alabama; a brother, Garth Thomas (Diana) Green, Mendon; two sisters, Evelyn Povisil, of Georgia, and Sandra K. Green, of South Carolina; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Danny Green.
He worked as a self-employed painting contractor. He graduated from Parkway High School and Wright State University with an associate's degree and was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, the Rev. Randy Christian officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford with graveside services conducted by the American Legion.
