William Boess
William J. Boess, 86, Irvine, Calif., died at 11:01 p.m. Jan. 4, 2011, at his home.
He was born Sept. 7, 1924, in Milford, Conn., to Joseph and Reta Pardy Boess. On Dec. 5, 1950, he married Gwendolyn L. Boess, who is deceased.
Surviving are two sons, Michael (Sue) Boess, Garden Grove, Calif., and Ronald (Suzanne) Boess, Celina; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday near Irvine.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. at Westminster Memorial Park, Westminster, Ca.
Memorials may be made to the Mercer County Cancer Association.
Arrangements are by Westminster Memorial Park.
