Bobby Gross
Bobby P. Gross, 84, Fort Loramie, died at 9:42 a.m. April 21, 2011, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney.
He was born Aug. 12, 1926, in St. Marys to Alton and Hazel Schamp Gross.
Surviving are four children, Bobby Gross Jr., Springfield, Onna (Ken) Wright, Troy, Debbie (Thomas) Wyer, Sidney, and Terri Gross, Anna; 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Jeannie Keihl; a sister, Janice Cook; and two grandchildren.
He was retired from Ferguson Construction Company, was a World War II Army veteran and was a member of Sidney American Legion Post 217, Sidney Amvets and the Sidney Veterans of Foreign Wars. He volunteered at Wright Patterson Air Force Museum in Fairborn.
Funeral services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cromes Funeral Home, Sidney, the Revs. Harold McKnight and Daniel Schmitmeyer officiating. Burial with full military services is at Pearl Cemetery in Swanders.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 12:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Sidney American Legion and VFW will have a memorial service 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
