Earth-friendly animals provide allergen-free fleece

The alpaca is an unusual and wonderful animal, say Mary and Norm Zahn, who founded Mercer County's first alpaca farm, Coldwater Creek Alpacas, a year ago.

LIMA - Another blast off the bat of Abbey Zacharias and the reliable right arm of Katie Kerr helped Celina to a 3-1 win over rival St. Marys on Saturday in Division II softball sectional action at Lima Bath.

State to save unused funds to treat Grand Lake again next year
GRAND LAKE - Avoiding a major fish kill is another reason the state is reducing the alum treatment on Grand Lake, the head of the state's Division of Parks and Recreation said Saturday.
A third bald eagle nest has been confirmed by a state wildlife official on the St. Marys River between the villages of Rockford and Mercer.
The nest is on private property and not visible to the public.
