Wilma Abels
Wilma C. Abels, 71, Celina, died at 12:08 a.m. May 14, 2011, at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born Aug. 26, 1939, in Fonde, Ky., to William Riley and Marie Panzalee Barley Henderson. In 1957, she married Joe Wendel Wicker, who is deceased. In 1981, she married Richard John "Dick" Abels, who died April 19, 2010.
Surviving are a son, Jeff Wicker, Celina; two daughters, Pamela (Charles) Archer, Celina, and Angela Abels, Celina; two brothers, David (Connie) Henderson, Celina, Steven (Sherrie) Henderson, Celina; four sisters, Patsy McJunkin, Botkins, Patricia (Barry) Baucher, Celina, Dianna Gerber, Dayton, and Sheila (Steve) Humbert, Celina; mother-in-law, Rosemary Yaney, Celina; three brothers-in-law, Bob Perry, Celina, Jerry Abels, Denver, Colo., and Tom (Lynn) Abels, Rockford; two sisters-in-law, Tina (Steve) Temple, Celina, and Mary Abels, Lima; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four sisters, Gracie Parker, Betty Jean Rodriguez, Winnie Caldwell and Mary Perry.
She was a member of New Start Community Fellowship Church, Celina, and its Ladies Ministry. She had worked at Hoffman Poultry, Lord's Department Store and Rampsco Plastics in Celina.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Revs. Johnny Mobley and Rick Brosher officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Moulton.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by W. H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina.
