Dean Brewer
Dean A. Brewer, 71, St. Marys, died at 3:55 p.m. May 31, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 28, 1939, in Sneedville, Tenn., to Huston and Dora Mathis Brewer. On Dec. 10, 1957, he married Ethel Mullins, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, David (Julia) Brewer, St. Marys; Robin Brewer, St. Marys, Jarrod (Carmen) Brewer, St. Marys; Debbie (Dale) Ball, St. Marys; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Ben and Junior Brewer; and two sisters, Gladys Holt and Ruby Richards.
He was a member of St. Marys Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and song leader.
He attended Claiborne County Schools in Sneedville and was a retired production employee for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Revs. Dennis Hunter and Alva Daniel officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
