Elsie E. Leugers, 102, formerly of McCartyville, died at 9:30 p.m. June 14, 2011, at the Meadows at Ottawa Glandorf.

She was born March 3, 1909, in Minster to Frank and Rose Thieman Wacker. On Oct. 9, 1946, she married Norbert W. Leugers, who died Nov. 11, 1995.

Surviving is a son, Greg (Mary) Leugers, Sylvania; a daughter, Paula (Kenneth) Elchinger, Ottawa; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Deceased is a son, Gerald; and a brother, Karl Wacker.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, McCartyville, where she had taught religion for 17 years.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. John Tonkin officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at the church.
