The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Jay Hinshaw
Jay M. Hinshaw, 71, Fort Recovery, died at 11:22 a.m. June 15, 2011, at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born Jan. 27, 1940, in Portland, Ind., to Dale and Lucille Whipple Hinshaw. On Aug. 6, 1967, he married Rose Partin, who died Aug. 2, 2008.
Surviving are two sons, Brian "Scott" Hinshaw, Dublin, and Craig Hinshaw, Fort Recovery; and a daughter, Kathi (David) Shauver, Fort Recovery; two brothers, Carl Hinshaw and Bill (Diana) Hinshaw, all of Portland; and four grandchildren.
A graduate of Portland High School, he served in the U.S. Army and retired from Teledyne Portland Forge, Portland.
He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Fort Recovery.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Dennis Kelley officiating.
Calling is 9:30 -11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
