John Schenking
John H. "Jack" Schenking, 75, Coldwater, died June 24, 2011, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton.
He was born July 22, 1935, in Montezuma, to Henry and Esther Nordenbrock Schenking. On June 25, 2005, he married Colleen Cornell Schenking, who survives in Coldwater.
Also surviving are his children, Mark (Michella) Schenking, Grinnell, Iowa, Daniel Schenking, St. Marys, Karen (Sean) Gagne, Kirkland, Wash.; two sisters, Ann (Tom) Knapke, Celina, and Elaine (Roc) Kramer, Alexandria, Va.; a sister-in-law, Marge Schenking, Centerville; and two grandchildren.
Deceased are his first wife, Kathleen Liddy, and a brother, Fred Schenking.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic church, Coldwater, the Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis and American Legion, all in Coldwater. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a graduate of the University of Dayton.
A former owner/operator of CW Service, Coldwater, he founded the Kathleen Schenking Memorial Scholarship Fund, was a member of the Wright State University-Lake Campus Brage Golding Society and helped found the Agricultural and Industrial Heritage Center, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Ron Wilker officiating. Private burial will follow at a later date.  Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Memorials may be directed to the Agricultural and Industrial Heritage Center, P.O. Box 123, Coldwater.
