Betty Jenkins
Betty Evelyn Jenkins, 85, Celina, died at 9 a.m. July 14, 2011, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born Aug. 30, 1925, in Mercer County to Virgil S. and Lollie May West Monroe. On Jan. 22, 1946, she married Bevan Eugene Jenkins, who died Feb. 24, 2008.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a daughter, Marjorie L. Jenkins; six brothers, Paul Ernest, Orval Emery, Willis Daniel, Jacob F., James W. and Harry Lowell Monroe; and two sisters, Thelma Velma Kile and Inez Bernice Howell.
A homemaker, she was a member of Beaver Chapel Congregational Christian Church, Celina.
Service is 1 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Tom Christen officiating. Burial will follow in Swamp College Cemetery.
Calling is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
