During the predawn hours, winds will increase ahead of a low pressure system moving east through the lower Great Lakes. Gusts of 30 to 40 mph are expected through this afternoon, possibly gusting to 45 mph in a few spots. Wind is expected to decrease overnight but remain relatively strong at 20-25 mph this evening.
Please be aware of these strong winds especially if driving a higher profile vehicle. Secure loose outdoor objects and shore up seasonal decorations if possible.

Robert Hegemier
Robert H. Hegemier, 88, St. Marys, died at 2:15 a.m. at St. Marys Living Center.
He was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Ansonia, to Emil and Martha Vogel Hegemier. On May 27, 1944, he married Mary Lea Schamp, who survives.
Also surviving are children, Sharon (Ed) Sullivan, St. Marys, Gary (Connie) Hegemier, Earlysville, Va., Shirley (Mark) Dine, Hilliard, Joan Smith, Celina, Gloria (Judd) Morrison, Charleston, S.C., and Jim (Tracy) Hegemier, Ellenton, Fla.; sisters, Dorothy (Aniceto) Garica, Carson City, Nev., Helen (Glenn) Botkin, La Jolla, Calif., and Irene Lininger, St. Marys; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Anna Sanford, in-laws, Michael Smith and Louis Lininger, and a great-granddaughter.
A 1940 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys, he was a dairy farmer and owner of Hegemier's Trailer Sales and Service. He and his wife managed Fountain View RV Resort in North Fort Myers, Fla.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, St. Marys. He served on various boards and committees in the communities in which he lived.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Ed Bray officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the church or Jacob's Ladder Neurodevelopmental School and Therapy Center c/o Grace Lee Hegemier memorial fund.
