Helen Buchanan
Helen P. Buchanan, 69, Willshire, died at 5:39 a.m. July 25, 2011, at Adams Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Ind.
She was born Feb. 4, 1942, in Hyden, Ky., to Buck and Mary Ann Sheppard Van Over. On April 23, 1961, she married J. Alvin Buchanan, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lynette Hirschy, Mendon, and Louise Buchanan, Willshire; two sisters, Bess Wilson, Warren, Ind., and Kay Enterline, Fiat, Ind.; a brother, Kash Van Over, Petroleum, Ind.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter, Lori Ann Buchanan; and two brothers, Curtis Van Over and Darnell Van Over.
She was a homemaker and member of Fort Recovery Church of Christ.
Service is 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Ind., the Rev. Charlie Gamble officiating.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and on hour prior to service Thursday at the funeral home.
