Coldwater Village Administrator Eric Thomas measures a hole made by an emerald ash borer in an ash tree on Sunset Drive near the village park on Tuesday morning. Nearly every community in the Grand Lake area has reported infestations in ash trees - the only species the destructive bugs inhabit.
