Ned Temple
Ned C. Temple, 76, Celina, died Oct. 29, 2011, at the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
He was born Aug. 15, 1935, in Rockford to Lowell and Helen Cook Temple. On Dec. 29, 1956, he married Janice Kolp, who survives.
Also surviving are four children, Valerie (Chris) Anspaugh, Plain City, Tom (Shelly) Temple, Vandalia, Sheila (Jim) Hawkins Jr., Celina, and Scott Temple, Dayton; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother and his wife, Jim and Barb Temple.
A 1953 graduate of Rockford High School, he served two years in the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Society for Manufacturing Engineers. He was a self-employed plasterer in the construction industry and also worked as an industrial tool representative until his retirement with Elco Tool Company, Fort Wayne, Ind.
Service is 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at W. H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling is 9-11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund or the Society for Crippled Children and Adults.
