David "Spock" Bertke, 46, Montezuma, died Nov. 14, 2011, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, following a severe stroke.

He was born March 7, 1965, in Coldwater, to Dennis Bertke and the late Ruth Huecker Bertke. His father survives in Maria Stein.

Also surviving are siblings, Jerry (Janie) Bertke, Coldwater, Ted (Dianna) Bertke, Celina, Jan (Ron) Hertel, Celina, Kenneth (Kathy) Bertke, Versailles, John (Karen) Bertke, Celina, Nick (Lin) Bertke, Troy, Betty (Brian) Rembacki, Coldwater, Kay (Don) Homan, New Bremen, Norman (Tiffany) Bertke, Columbus, Scott (Annie) Bertke, Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Deceased is brother Michael "Chicken" Bertke.

He was a member of Celina Moose Lodge, Wolf Racing Team, Celina Music Bowling League and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John Catholic Church, Maria Stein. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-9:45 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
