Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Esther Seger
Esther Seger, 90, Fort Loramie, died Dec. 24, 2011, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.
She was born Oct. 11, 1921, in Fort Loramie, to Joseph and Cecilia Wuebker Seger.
She is survived by a brother-in-law, Richard Middendorf, Fort Loramie; sisters-in-law, Bertha Seger, Yorkshire, and Mary Ann Seger, Minster; and 58 nieces and nephews.
Deceased are siblings, Edna Frazier, Marie Niekamp, Edward Seger, Carl Seger, Henry Seger, Fred Seger, Jerome Seger, Florence Gray, Erma Middendorf, and Urban Seger and in-laws, Luther Frazier, Marie Niekamp, Charlene Seger, Mary Seger, Rita Seger, Robert Gray and Janice Seger.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and worked at Stolle Corporation, Sidney. She was secretary/treasurer for Community Lanes, Minster, treasurer for American Legion Auxiliary, Fort Loramie, and a member of the Altrusa Club, Sidney.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
