ST. MARYS - A Fayette County man has accepted the safety-service director job in St. Marys.
Jason Little, 40, of Washington Courthouse, accepted the position today at a salary of $91,000. Little is a graduate of Ohio Northern University and is a professional engineer and surveyor. He has 20 years experience in public engineering, Mayor Patrick McGowan said this morning. [More]
Division IV Sectional at Coldwater

COLDWATER - The Division IV sectional girls' basketball tournament was moved to Coldwater this year, but for one game anyway, the intensity was hot and heavy just like normal.
The St. Henry Redskins and Fort Recovery Indians started the night with a classic battle that wasn't decided until the final seconds. The Indians got a pair of big three-pointers from an unlikely candidate late in the game to hold off the Redskins by a score of 49-48. [More]

MINSTER - Three fewer traffic signals will be located along Fourth Street when the reconstruction project is complete.
Village council members on Tuesday decided a signal was not needed at Lincoln and Fourth streets now that the nearby Minster Elementary School has closed.
