Fred D. Conkel
Fred D. Conkel, 70, of Coldwater, died June 28, 2012, at his residence.
He was born July 27, 1941, in Celina, to Robert and Freda (Drummond) Conkel. On June 29, 1968, he married Frances A. Sherrill, who survives in Coldwater.
Other survivors are children, Darrel Lee (Mary) Conkel, Celina, Robert (Kristen) Conkel, Plain City, and Kimberly (Jamie) Schott, Celina; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was a member of Celina Baptist Temple, and the American Legion, VFW and the Saddle Club, all of Celina.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Monday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, the Rev. Bill Drummond officiating. Burial will be at Mercer Memory Gardens with full military honors by the Celina Firing Squad.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday and after noon Monday at the funeral home.
