80 mph winds, power outages, numerous downed trees and structure damage reported; no serious injuries

Widespread power outages, downed trees and structural damage were reported throughout Mercer and Auglaize counties on Friday after winds estimated at 80 mph ripped through the area.
No serious injuries were reported.
Little rain accompanied the sever thunderstorm that blew into the area about 3:15 p.m. and caused sever damage throughout most of Ohio. [More]

The Mercer County Fairgrounds resembled a war zone Friday afternoon after strong winds toppled trees onto trailers and ripped off a portion of the grandstands roof.
Two festivals also incurred heavy damages, leaving organizers scrambling to clean up debris, find alternate power and raise fallen tents. [More]

The man charged in an incident where a dead dog was found in a cage in Grand Lake entered a guilty waiver on Monday in Auglaize County Municipal Court.
Mardie Biederman of Panama City, Fla., 43, entered the waiver and paid $132.30 in court costs and fine for the minor misdemeanor charge. [More]
