...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT SATURDAY... * HEAT INDEX VALUES...At or above 105 due to temperatures in the mid 90s and dewpoints in the mid 70s. * TIMING...Through Saturday evening. Very little relief is expected during the night with low temperatures only falling into the middle and upper 70s. * IMPACTS...Heat stroke, heat exhaustion and other heat related illnesses will be possible, especially if you spend a significant amount of time outdoors, or are involved in any strenuous outdoor activity. The cumulative impacts of heat on the human body can be significant when consecutive days of excessive heat occur.

Thomas Wolfe
Thomas I. Wolfe, 75, St. Marys, died at 8:05 a.m. Aug. 7, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born May 26, 1937, in Benton Harbor, Mich., to Archer and Helen Bartlett Wolfe. On Aug. 22, 1964, he married Mary K. Adams, who survives.
Also surviving are four children, Mark (Hannie) Wolfe, Sandra (Robert) Smock and Pamala (John) Kennedy, all of St. Marys, and Michael Wolfe, New York, N.Y.; three grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
He was a 1955 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and served in the Ohio National Guard. He attended Indiana Tech and retired from Huffy Manufacturing Company. He also worked at Bud's Chevy in St. Marys and Kern's Chevy in Celina, where he was a vehicle transporter. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289 Men's Auxiliary and served on the funeral honor guard team for many years. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Barry Stechshulte officiating. Burial is at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys.
