Former Celina resident Doris Aileen Barber, 92, died at 8:10 p.m. Aug. 13, 2012, at Wintersong Village Nursing Home, Delaware.

She was born Aug. 14, 1919, in Mendon, to Robert and Bertha Banter Barber.

Surviving are a sister, Aldyth Meyer, Delaware, and two sisters-in-law, Opal Barber, Celina, and Ruth Ann Barber, Lima.

Deceased are three brothers, John, Lyle and R. Dane Barber, and a brother-in-law, John Meyer.

The 1937 Celina High School graduate was employed at Celina Financial Insurance Company until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina and the church choir, a past officer of the United Methodist Women, a past officer of the Shakespere Club of Celina and a 50-year member, 20-year secretary and past grand matron of Celina Order of Eastern Star #91.

Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. David R. Gerber officiating. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.

Calling is 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. An Order of Eastern Star rite will precede the service at 2 p.m.
