Mercer County Commissioners on Tuesday discussed but took no action on replacing OSU Extension ag educator Jim Hoorman, who quit to take a full-time Extension job in Putnam County.
Election officials in Mercer and Auglaize counties intend to comply with a directive from Secretary of State Jon Husted to set uniform early voting hours for the upcoming presidential election.
Those wanting to vote in this year's general election on Nov. 6 must be registered with a board of elections by Oct. 9.
