ST. MARYS - A local hospital and an insurance provider to hundreds of area employees have mended fences.
Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield on Monday announced they have re-established their relationship after severing ties in April. The new agreement, which went into effect Thursday, puts JTDMH, its hospital-based physicians and hospital-employed ancillary physicians back in Anthem's network. [More]

CELINA - Demolition of the former Gibbons Hospital and surrounding buildings likely will begin next week.
City council members on Monday unanimously approved an ordinance to issue building owner Harbor Life Ministries a $60,000, zero-interest revolving loan to help pay for the removal of the hospital, a nearby caretaker's house and large barn/shed on East Fayette Street. It was passed after council members suspended the rules. [More]

One-fourth of Mercer County's registered voters cast their ballots before the polls opened today.
