Scattered snow showers occurring across the region will gradually diminish early this morning. While any accumulation will be less than an inch, this will create slick roadways with a quick coating of snow. Not all roads will be affected, but motorists should be aware that driving conditions may change quickly along their route, going from dry to slick. If traveling this morning, use extra caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

Kathleen Bergman
Kathleen "Kate" Bergman, 80, Maria Stein, died at 9:19 p.m. Nov. 10, 2012, at OSU Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born Jan. 5, 1932, in Versailles, to Bernard and Victoria Pleiman Schulze. On June 20, 1956, she married Eugene Bergman, who survives.
Also surviving are her children, Linda (Steve) Moeller, Maria Stein, Randy (Linda) Bergman, Maria Stein, Jay (Pam) Bergman, Montezuma, and Jody (Rick) Gerlach, St. Henry; sisters Elsie (Ralph) Winner, Osgood, and Mary Ann Knapke, New Bremen; brothers-in-law, Norb Schlater, Versailles, and Bill Miller, New Bern, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Jo (Bob) Albers, North Star; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Deceased are two sisters, Vera Schlater and Ginny Miller, and a brother, Bernard (Bud) Schulze.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, and its Ladies Sodality. She volunteered at Marion Local Schools and the Spiritual Center of Maria Stein. She was a homemaker.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Brenberger officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
