Arthur Maschino
Arthur V. Maschino, 82, Celina and formerly of North Vernon Ind., passed away Jan. 14, 2013, at Trinity West Hospital, Steubenville.
He was born Aug. 5, 1930, in Jennings County, Ind., to Victor and Ruth Hawk Maschino. He married LaVonne Williams on Feb. 4, 1956, and she died April 2, 1993. He married Heidi Dietzel on March 29, 2002, and she survives.
Also surviving are his son, Richard (Tina) Maschino of Bradford; four daughters, Cheryl (Matt) Huth of Indianapolis, Ind. Diane (Tim) McCullough of Cincinnati, Karen (Jim) Hayes of Indianapolis, Ind., and Debra (Arnie) Everett of Daleville, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Chris Stanziola of Celina; two stepsons, John Stanziola of Celina and Michael (Casandra) Gilbert of St. Marys; a twin brother, Amos Maschino of North Vernon, Ind.; and a brother, Paul Maschino of Louisville; Ky. two sisters, Irene Simmons of North Vernon, Ind., and Agnes Euler of Columbus, Ind.; four grandchildren, Craig and Brandy Maschino and Joshua and Kari Hayes; seven great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Also deceased are three brothers, Floyd, LeRoy and Roger Maschino, and a sister, Sr. Juanita Maschino.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 and later became a truck driver in 1976. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Celina. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, NASCAR and spending time with his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Four Corners, the Rev. Joseph Sheets officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Union City Cemetery, Union City, Ind.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service, North Vernon. A rosary service will be held at 3:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the American Heart Association.
