Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Margaret Weitz
Margaret Elizabeth (Now) Weitz, 103, Hillsboro, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 22, 2013.
She was born Sept. 20, 1909, in Hopewell Township, to John H. and Nettie (Smith) Now. On Oct. 4, 1930, she married Clarence Weitz, who died Jan. 8, 1995.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Brewer of Hillsboro and Virginia (Lavern) Musselman of Xenia; a daughter-in-law, Alice Weitz of Beavercreek, 12 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great grandchildren.
Also deceased are her son, Max E. Weitz; a brother, Herbert Now; four sisters, Beulah Bradford, Laveda Baucher, Loretta Fast and Mabel Koontz; and two sons-in-law, Norman Gottschalk and Ed Brewer.
She graduated in 1927 from Celina High School, and had worked at Celina Public Library and the Gamble Store in Celina. She was a life member of Pleasant View Church of God, Celina, where she had served as organist and pianist, and held various offices in the church. She also was a charter member of Hopewell Grange, and a member of the auxiliary of the Gideons.
She and her husband lived in the Celina area until 1989, when they moved to Xenia to be near their family. She later moved to Hills-boro, where she was a resident of the Heartland Nursing Home.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday at Celina First Church of God, the Revs. Curtis Randolph and Bruce Strine officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at W.H. Dick & Sons - Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, and 1-2 p.m. Monday at the church.
