Carrol Fischbach
Carrol T. "Fisch" Fischbach, 81, St. Marys, died at 7:49 p.m. April 13, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born Nov. 14, 1931, near Kettlersville, one of 10 children born to Elmer and LaRue Dodds Fischbach.
His sister, Shirley (Laverne) Pax, survives in Pickerington, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Siblings preceding him in death were his brothers Ronald, Paul, Orville, Richard and Rodney Fischbach; and his sisters, Bernice Houts, Beverly Moeller and Eleanor Fischbach.
He served as a Staff Sergeant with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen and a member of the American Legion Post 2510 of Celina and the Mercer County Sportsman Club.
He retired from the former Goodyear plant of St. Marys after 42 years of service.
The family will have private graveside service at Schwaberow Cemetery in New Bremen.
Arrangements were handled by Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen.
