Patricia Yahl
Patricia D. Yahl, 67, St. Marys, died at 10:25 p.m. April 13, 2013, at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born July 15, 1945, in Allen County, to Mitch and Ruth Rupert Dyer. On Oct. 17, 1964, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys, she married Robert Yahl, who survives.
She is also survived by twin sons and a daughter, Brian (Kim) Yahl of St. Marys, Brett (Angie) Yahl of St. Marys and Renee (Craig) Lauth of St. Marys; eight treasured grandchildren, Zach, Erica, Lorraine, Stuart, Chance, Hope, Deavan and Garrett; and a sister, Doris Freeman of Hicksville.
She was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Wyatt Yahl.
She was a 1963 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. A lifelong antique dealer, she was the owner/operator of Memory Lane, where she bought and sold collectibles.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys and its Altar Rosary Sodality. Her favorite pastimes included traveling, history, listening to music and gambling. She enjoyed cooking and was known for making a variety of soups.
The centerpiece of her life was her family, and she was especially fond of spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was deeply proud of their accomplishments in life. She will be missed by her loving family and her many dear friends.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Rev. Barry Stechschulte officiating. Private family burial will take place at Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30-10-30 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys.
Memorials may be given to the Holy Rosary Building Restoration Fund.
