Edward Rollins
Edward L. "Ted" Rollins, 79, New Bremen, died at 11 p.m. April 15, 2013, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 25, 1933, in Fremont, to Dormal and Ruth Walters Rollins. On Jan. 27, 1956, he married Sandra L. Hanson, who died May 2, 1997.
Survivors include his children, Randall Rollins of Northfield, Minn., Thomas (Michelle) Rollins of Tulsa, Okla., Becky (Larry) Fearing of Sandusky, David (Sandra) Rollins of Pequot Lakes, Minn., and Julie (Patrick) Ferguson of New Bremen; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, William Rollins of Rio Rancho, N.M., Thomas (Kathy) Rollins of Fremont, Dennis Rollins of Kenton, Daniel (Marge) Rollins of Tulsa, Okla. and Richard (Jody) Rollins of Fort Wayne, Ind.
Preceding him in death was his brother, James Rollins.
He was a member of Faith Alliance Church in New Bremen and Gideon's International. He was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School and had attended the University of Toledo and Bluffton University. He retired from the former STAMCO of New Bremen, where he was a field service engineer.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Faith Alliance Church in New Bremen, the Rev. Thomas Sager officiating. Burial will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Memorials may be given to Gideon's International or to the church memorial fund.
Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home of New Bremen is handling arrangements.
