James Edward "Jim" Wasson, 73, Celina, passed away at his residence on May 17, 2013.
He was born to John and Josephine Ann Brandt Wasson.
He is survived by his longtime friends, Art and Janet Bernard of St. Henry.
He had three brothers, Joseph Alexander Wasson, Robert Garcer Wasson and Jerome Wasson, and a sister, Kathy Neff.
He had been a radio announcer at WERT and WCSM. He was perhaps most widely known for portraying Santa Claus for 50 years in the Celina and St. Marys areas. He was also known as a show promoter, organizing events such as the Celina Easter Egg Hunt, variety shows and the Children's Christmas Show at the Celina movie theater.
