The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Gary Gossard
Gary L. "Gizmo" Gossard Sr., 62, Celina, passed away Aug. 14, 2013, at St. Rita's Hospital in Lima.
He was born Dec. 12, 1950, in Celina to Melvin and Maxine Zwiebel Gossard. On June 27, 1970, he married Vickie Ward, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Gary (Darlene) Gossard of Van Wert; sisters, Carolyn (Lanny) Arnold of Celina and Marilyn (Dale) Moore of Wapakoneta; brothers and sisters-in-law, Karla (Roger) Endicott of Celina, Rocky (Jerry) Burk of Celina, Bill (Teena) Ward of St. Marys, Carl (Beverly) Ward of Troy, Kathleen (Tony) Black of Wren and Tim Ward of Celina; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his parents; a brother, Larry Gossard; his father and mother-in-law, Charles and Joyce Ward; and a brother-in-law, Peter.
He was a 1969 graduate of St. Mary's Memorial High School. Gary was a member of the Beaver Chapel Church. He enjoyed hunting and collecting Indian artifacts. He also enjoyed helping with auctions. He loved meeting and talking with people and children.
Calling is 3-6 p.m. Monday at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, where a memorial service will follow at 6 p.m., the Rev. Tom Christen officiating.
Memorial donations may be given to Gary'sfamily.
