CELINA - A fundraising effort has begun for the construction of a new softball field at Westview Park in collaboration with the city.
School board members during their regular meeting on Monday approved establishing the fund to raise $200,000. Head softball coach Michelle Driggs told the board that she has been working closely with city officials to develop and implement a plan.
