The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Lauretta Brooks
Lauretta M. Brooks, 96, Lucasville, formerly of Celina, died Aug. 16, 2013, at a hospice center in Portsmouth.
She was born Jan. 27, 1917, in Celina, to Otto and Eda Kable Fahncke. She married her first husband, Forest Cordier, in 1940. Her second marriage was in 1963 to L.E. Jake Felver, and she married her third husband, Alvah Brooks, in 1993.
Surviving are a son, Franklin (Gerry) Cordier of Lucasville; two brothers, Martin Fahncke of Celina and Richard Fahncke of Wapakoneta; and four sisters, Anna Brandt of Willshire, Marcella Werner of Greenville, Pa., Celesta Howell of Columbia City, Ind., and Wanda Fahncke of Celina.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, Luther Fahncke and Kenneth Fahncke.
She was a homemaker and a member of New Life Christian Center.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, the Rev. Gary King officiating.
Calling is 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
