Karen Stief
Karen Sue Stief, 64, Celina, passed away at 8:15 a.m. Aug. 31, 2013, at Colonial Nursing Center in Rockford.
She was born Aug. 17, 1949, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to William and Donna Romary Thomas. On May 15, 1993, she married Larry Stief of Celina.
Also surviving are her brother, William (Stephanie) Thomas, Indianapolis, Ind., and a niece, Emily Schroeder, San Bernardino, Calif.
Karen graduated from Southside High School, Fort Wayne, Ind., in 1967. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Indiana University and received her master's degree from the University of Florida. She retired from nursing in 1993.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sept. 15, 2013, at the Mackinaw Retirement Village in Celina.
