Mahan Harris
Mahan J. "Jerry" Harris, 81, of Celina and formerly of Weirton, W.Va., passed away at 9:10 a.m. Sept. 6, 2013, at The Gardens in Celina.
He was born Nov. 26, 1931, in Weirton, W.Va. to Manch and Ruby Sheppard Harris.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Waugh Harris, Celina; his son, Michael (Teresa) Harris, Celina; his daughter, Jeri VanTrees, St. Marys; and grandchildren, Cassandra (Randy) Bergman, Tesla VanTrees, Jacob VanTrees, Jayden VanTrees, M. Adrein (Michelle) Harris, Areil Harris and Angelica Harris.
He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Hazel (John) Lipon.
He served his country in the United States Army in the Airborne Division. He retired in 1990 from the Weirton Steel Mill, Weirton, W.Va.
Private family services will be held at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
