The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Wilma Hobbs
Wilma L. Hobbs, 63, Decatur, Ind., died at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 7, 2013, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, Ind., following an extended illness.
She was born July 19, 1950, in Celina, to James B. and Jessie Myers Carter. On Dec. 28, 1968, she married Gerald E. Hobbs in Coldwater, and he died May 8, 2011.
Surviving are three daughters, Alison S. (Devon) Bantz, Bluffton, Ind., Angela N. (Anthony) Dickerson, Frankfort, Ind., and Teresa J. (Don) Hess, Decatur, Ind.; a son, Timothy W. (Ellen) Hobbs, Bluffton, Ind.; two sisters, Lola (Lester) McDowell, Celina, and Virginia Wood, Fort Recovery; 12 grandchildren, Chelsea Coons, Ashlan Coons, Caitlyn Coons, Austin Coons, Andrea Dickerson, Aaron Dickerson, Arissa Dickerson, Abigayle Dickerson, Zachary Hess, Elizabeth Hess, Ray (Chas) Stout and Steve (Courtney) Stout; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James O. Carter, and two sisters, Lula Crouch and Juanita Lindley.
She graduated from Ivy Tech in 1997 and worked as an LPN for Markle Medical Center, retiring in 2007. She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church, Decatur, and was previously a member of Covenant Chapel, Bluffton, Ind.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Ind., the Rev. Ken Hogg officiating. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be given to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, Ind.
