Norman Binkley
Norman Binkley, 64, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:16 a.m. Oct. 11, 2013, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born June 11, 1949, in Lima, to Byron and Marian Merricle Binkley.
Surviving are a daughter, Sheila Goins, Celina; a son, Paul (Tina) Binkley, Wapakoneta; a sister-in-law, Julie Binkley, Wapakoneta; a niece, Connie (Allen) Schroer, New Knoxville; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James "Mike" Binkley.
He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and completed college coursework in automotive technology. A sergeant in the U.S. Army, he worked as the non-commissioned readiness officer at the St. Marys Armory for a number of years. He also worked as a mechanic at B & B Auto in Wapakoneta and Jerry Lear Ford dealership in St. Marys. More recently, he worked as a bartender and maintenance technician at the Wapakoneta Eagles.
He was a member of American Legion Post 330, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8445 and Eagles Lodge Aerie 691, all of Wapakoneta.
Private family graveside services with full military honors will be at Dayton Nation Cemetery.
Calling is 5 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
