The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Keith Harrod
Keith W. "Harry Dog" Harrod, 61, Kettlersville, was found dead at his residence Dec. 10, 2013.
He was born Nov. 6, 1952, in Harrod.
Surviving are many close friends who were like family to him, including Becky Knutzen, St. Marys, Elizabeth Sawmiller, Fort Loramie, and Marie Willett, Scott Newberry, Darren Sharp, Sean Huelskamp, Shelby Huelskamp and Dalton Huelskamp, all of Wapakoneta.
Deceased are his parents.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, which he joined after graduation from Lima Senior High School. He attended the University of Dayton, where he was a member of the Dayton Flyers basketball team. He retired from Stamco in New Bremen after 27 years of service. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved sitting around the campfire on his many camping trips with his large group of close friends. He enjoyed riding his Harley.
Funeral rites are 2 p.m. Saturday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. David Williams officiating. Private burial rites will be held.
Calling is noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
