Coldwater house demolished
Photo by Mark Pummell/The Daily Standard

Coldwater village workers begin demolition of the former rental property at 315 W. Walnut St. on Tuesday. The village and property owner Joseph Lasko reached an agreement earlier this month in which Lasko is to pay $2,000 toward the demolition costs with the village doing the work. Lasko had filed a lawsuit in Mercer County Common Pleas Court to fight destroying the home. Village manager/engineer Eric Thomas said he expects the structure to be leveled today. The village will level the site and plant grass.
