The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Marian Siefring
Marian R. Siefring, 92, New Weston, died May 28, 2014, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born Dec. 24, 1921, in Chickasaw, to Henry and Clara Ronnebaum Hein. On April 22, 1950, she married Julius Siefring in Chickasaw, and he survives in New Weston.
Also surviving are two children, Jerry "Buck" (Fran) Siefring, New Weston, and Connie (Tom) Everman, Burkettsville; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 13 stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Fred (Clara Jean) Hein, Chickasaw; and sisters-in-law, Henrietta (Viro) Will, Fort Recovery, and Roni (Art) Hermiller, Coldwater.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Doris Siefring; brother and sisters, Leon (Rosie) Hein, Leona (Wilfred) Steinlage, Wilma (Elmer) Bergman and Kay Hein; and in-laws, Florence (Anna) Siefring, Anna (Silverous) Homan, Leo (Tharsilla) Siefring, Mark (Christine) Siefring, Norbert (Roselinda) Siefring and Morris Siefring.
She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, and its Ladies Sodality. She worked at the Mercer County Home, was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
