Trevor Schmehl, 14, works with several volunteers to lay a concrete foundation for a 12-foot-high observation tower in the Gilliland Nature Sanctuary in Montezuma. The project was chosen by Schmehl of St. Marys to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.
