Scattered snow showers will continue through mid morning. With temperatures well below freezing, light snow accumulations will combine with lingering black ice from overnight, to create some slick spots on area roadways. In addition, brisk westerly winds will gust in the 25 to 35 mph range this morning. If traveling this morning, allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses as well as untreated surfaces.
CELINA - The state has approved $70,000 to fund for one year the work of two nutrient management technicians, Mercer County Soil and Water Conservation District board members learned at a meeting Thursday.
CELINA - Mercer County Commissioners on Thursday in a rare move approved payment of tuberculosis treatment for a local resident.
The action by the county board is required by Ohio law if a resident is diagnosed with the illness and cannot pay and if costs are not covered through a third party.
