Larry Lunz
Larry L. Lunz, 69, rural Wapakoneta, died at 12:09 a.m. Aug. 16, 2014, at his residence with his family at his side.
He was born Nov. 1, 1944, in Lima, to Roy L. and Violet M. Hole Lunz. On Feb. 21, 1976, he married Kathleen L. McDermitt, who survives.
Also surviving are two children, Edward Lunz, Wapakoneta, and Theresa (Adam) Friemoth, Celina; a sister, Carol McCullough, New Knoxville; and two brothers-in-law, David McDermitt, St. Marys, and Thomas (Pat) McDermitt, Celina.
Deceased are two infant brothers, William and Donald.
He worked as a route salesman for Pepsi Cola, Lima, retiring in March 2007 after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Uniopolis United Methodist Church and a 1962 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. He served in the Ohio National Guard.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #691, Wapakoneta. He raised New Zealand rabbits and was an adviser for the Hare Raisers 4-H Club for 22 years. He also was a member of the Ohio New Zealand Breeders Association and the National New Zealand Breeders Association and enjoyed deer hunting.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta, Pastor Josh Andrews officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Uniopolis United Methodist Church or the Uniopolis Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
